The first of our Group Ones and MR BRIGHTSIDE (1) clearly goes on top. He was beaten first up in the Orr by Another Wil but did work early from a wide gate and the market said the winner was tuned right up, which he was. Mr B gave his all and ran as well, if not better than his usual fresh runs. Drawn wide again but he'll be fitter and it'll take a big performance to knock the champ off. I WISH I WIN (2) is the one capable of doing so. Pigeonholed as a sprinter following his win in the TJ Smith Stakes on very heavy ground, remember he's beaten Fangirl in a 1500m Golden Eagle and was only beaten half a length by Mr B in the Memsie Stakes over this route in 2023. He'll be charging late. PERICLES (3) can run well fresh. He's consistent, maps for a soft run and should be competitive. PRIVATE LIFE (10) was sound in the Orr but has a few lengths to find. EVAPORATE (11) was luckless fresh and can figure.
