DEBONNAIRE (2) made rapid progress through the grades last prep and looks set for another big prep after finishing third fresh up over 1100m here just over 3 weeks ago. He normally improves quickly with racing and could just have the class edge over his rivals in this. On top. TALK SOFTLY (6) led up last start but weakened out of it in the run home. He has won 6 times on this track and should be at his peak fitness after having 3 runs back from a spell. Each way claims this time. COCOON BAY (7) did not cope with the quick backup last time out when finishing at the rear of the field. He has been given 5 weeks to get over that effort and can make amends. Don't risk him. HILTON (4) did not come up in a couple of starts during last winter and was put aside. He showed his true ability when resuming with a comfortable win here 15 days ago and has won second up in the past. Stick with him. WESTERNIZE (8) is a durable veteran who is still capable of figuring in the finish at this level.
