HEADLEY GRANGE (11) progressive gelding who comes here hard fit and gets the blinkers added for the first time. Kept coming when up to the mile for a narrow second over 1600m at Randwick on February 8. Back in trip with the good tempo and will prove hard to hold out. WATEGOS (6) has a smart second-up record and back in grade after failing to sprint with them when a poor seventh over 1200m in the G3 Southern Cross Stakes here. Anywhere near his best can win this. BEL AIR (9) further improved now third-up and won't know himself with the 53.5kg. Carried the 60kg when a game sixth to Yorkshire over 1500m at this track. Maps well and looks over the odds. WEST OF AFRICA (3) just over a month between runs when scoring a tenacious victory after coming from near last on the turn when taking out the LR Magic Millions Cup over at 1400m at the Gold Coast. Schiller sticks and not asked to do much in a recent trial. Each way. BUILLT (12) is worth another chance back to the 1400m.
